Course Description

Chabad Chassidus outlines various themes and motifs for each Jewish holidays and for each time period within the Jewish year. In this course, we explore the Chassidic emphasis on living with the spiritual dynamics that are currently in play.

Learning Outcomes

Demonstrate knowledge of the Chassidic approach to the following: the month of Adar, Purim, the month of Nissan, Pesach, Sefirat Ha’omer, Lag B’omer and Shavuot.
Create one mini-project that expresses one of the themes explored in class through an artistic medium.
